Learn League of Legends from pros and creators

Watching pros shows you what they did, but not why, and not what you would have done. MOBA Trainer turns real games of Challenger players, pros and creators into puzzles: the game stops at a decision, you choose, and then you see the best choice and why. There are creator bundles from Alois, No Arm Whatley, Diamondprox and Dumbs, plus puzzles from pro games, including players like Baus, Rekkles and Wunder.

Creator bundles: one creator's games, one style

A creator bundle is a set of puzzles built from one creator's games, so you learn one way of playing from start to finish.

Alois's bundle is top lane on Dr. Mundo: proxy farming, waves, teleport and split pushing. No Arm Whatley's is top lane on Tahm Kench: ranged matchups, slow pushes and river tempo. Diamondprox's is Challenger jungle: ganks, invades and tempo. Dumbs's is jungle and top on Lillia, Diana and Shen: ultimates, win conditions and big fights.

Puzzles from pro games

Many puzzles come from games of professional and Challenger players, with the player's name on the puzzle: Baus, Rekkles, Wunder, Viper, Mikyx and many more. They cover every role.

Each one asks the same question: what should this player do here? You answer first, then see the choice they made and why it was the best one.

Can I learn League from Faker?

There is no Faker bundle. What MOBA Trainer has is pro game puzzles where Faker is on the other side, such as a T1 vs KT game where you play KT's support and look for the winning play against him.

If you want to play like the best mid laners, the mid lane puzzles from pro games and the Pattern Map's mid lane patterns are the closest thing to it.

Who builds the puzzles

The puzzles are made by MOBA Trainer's puzzle creators, Challenger players and pros: Saviour, the founder, together with Zanzarah, Peco, Toni and Robo. Every puzzle is tied to one of the 51 patterns on the Pattern Map, the decisions that decide most games.

That is why a creator bundle is more than highlights. Each decision in it trains a pattern you can keep practicing after the bundle is done.

What creators said about it in their videos

Overall, I genuinely like this app, mainly for the fact that it teaches players to make those micro decisions about where to go and what to do that you have to make every couple of seconds in a game of League.

I'm also realizing the puzzles were filling in gaps I didn't even know I had.

Watching pros vs practicing their decisions

VODs and streams are great for ideas, but you watch the outcome and rarely stop to decide first. That makes it easy to agree with every move and still not make it in your own game.

A puzzle makes you commit to an answer before you see theirs. When you get it wrong you know exactly which decision to work on, and you can practice it again tomorrow.

Play the creator bundles

The creator bundles and pro game puzzles are in MOBA Trainer. Every puzzle counts toward the pattern it trains on your Pattern Map, so whatever creator you start with, you build the same map of decisions.
