Teleport lets a champion join a fight from far away, so a fight that looks even can suddenly have one more enemy. Note when the enemy uses Teleport, tell your team when it is down, and pick fights and dives in that window. When it is up, watch for the channel and fight where they cannot land behind you.

Why Teleport changes fights
Teleport turns a two versus two in the bot lane into a three versus two, or lets a top laner arrive at a dragon fight from the other side of the map. A fight you count as even is not even if the enemy has Teleport ready.
It also lets the enemy go home and come back to lane quickly, so their laner loses less after a recall.
How to keep track
Teleport has a long cooldown. When you see an enemy use it, note the game time and tell your team, for example "top TP used".
Early in the game Teleport can only target allied towers. Later it can also target allied minions and wards, which makes flanks much more dangerous, so keep vision around fights.
Play around missing Teleport
When the enemy Teleport is down, the other lanes are safer to fight in. That is the moment for your bot lane and jungler to force a fight or a dive, or to take a dragon fight with fewer enemies able to join.
If the enemy used Teleport to join a fight, their lane is empty for a while. Your laner can push and take plates or a tower.
Respect Teleport when it is up
Before a dive or a fight near the enemy side, check whether their Teleport is ready. If it is, assume one more enemy can arrive.
A teleport is visible on the map while it channels. If you see one start near you, decide right away: finish the fight before they land, or step away.
Find the fights Teleport decided
In a replay, find the fights where an enemy teleported in. Was their Teleport known to be up? Did your team fight anyway?
Then find the times the enemy Teleport was down and nobody used it. Those windows are the easiest fights to win.
Practice the decision before the fight
Tracking teleports is one of the 51 patterns on the MOBA Trainer Pattern Map. MOBA Trainer turns real game situations into puzzles: you see the map, choose what to do, and then learn why the best players choose differently. The pattern has a video explanation and training puzzles made by top players and coaches, so you can practice the decision in a few minutes a day, outside of ranked games.
