His barrels hit hard and popping one resets his burn passive: auto them down (walk in around 2/3 HP so it's nearly dead when you arrive) to deny the reset.

Level 1 you win: force a trade for the level-2 spike, then keep forcing trades until he's below half; once you have R you can flat dive him.

Catch his disengage

He won't walk up and auto you: he procs his passive for move speed and pokes with bullets, so E him as he disengages and land your 2-auto + Q trade.

Never let him sit back and farm safely: his items are expensive, so punish him with trades early or he out-scales you off his barrels.
